To the Editors:
A quick, humane, effective thing which concerned Americans can do right away to help provide support for women and children in Nicaragua and El Salvador, those most severely affected by the devastation of war, is to send money for desperately needed medical supplies to MADRE/Women’s Peace Network, 853 Broadway, Room 301, New York, New York 10003. MADRE is a friendship association between women and children in Central America, the Caribbean and the US, and to date has delivered $450,000 in critically needed supplies and services.
