John Banville’s review of Martin Amis’s House of Meetings [NYR, March 1] should have said that Amis was born five years before his father, Kingsley Amis, became widely read in England after the publication of Lucky Jim in 1954.
Owing to an error in the information provided by Time Life Pictures and Getty Images, the caption on page 12 of Joyce Carol Oates’s review of Joan Acocella’s Twenty-eight Artists and Two Saints [NYR, March 15] was incorrect. It should have stated that the photograph of Suzanne Farrell and Peter Martins in A Midsummer Night’s Dream was taken in the 1960s.
