In Madison Smartt Bell’s article on Daniel Boone [“At Home in Paradise,” NYR, December 20, 2007], the TV series Daniel Boone ran from 1964 to 1970, and was produced by Arcola Pictures. Fess Parker, who starred as Daniel Boone, had previously portrayed Davy Crockett on television for Disney in the mid-1950s.
