To the Editors:

Thank you for putting together the most provocative, straightforward outspoken set of book reviews for my reading pleasure. Because of your paper I listened to Edward Albee and James Baldwin on my FM set, dug the Saturday Evening Post out of the wastebasket and I read a condensation of One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich and reread some of Jean Genet along with many other things I should have done in any case but which I would not have done had I not been prompted by reading The New York Review of Books. I sincerely hope you continue with this fine venture….
