In response to:
Living in the Breach from the February 17, 1983 issue
To the Editors:
In his review of The Second Life of Art: Selected Essays of Eugenio Montale edited and translated by Jonathan Galassi, Sven-Birkerts mentions three Italian writers included in the book’s first section whose works are unfamiliar to American readers because they are not yet translated. One—Giovanni Pascoli—I am pleased to say is presently available as a publication of the Lake Erie College Press entitled Giovanni Pascoli: Convivial Poems, Text and Translation with an Introduction and Critical Notes by Egidio Lunardi and Robert Nugent. This two volume collection may be secured by writing to: Lake Erie College Press, Lake Erie College, Painesville, Ohio 44077 for the cost of $18.50.
