In Michael Kimmelman’s article on Sviatoslav Richter [“Wandering Minstrel,” NYR, November 1], the teacher of Richter’s teacher Heinrich Neuhaus should have been identified as Felix Blumenfeld, and Konstantin Igumnov as a pupil of Liszt’s pupil Alexander Siloti. Bruno Monsaingeon filmed his interviews with Richter in Antibes in 1997; and in the film Richter the Enigma, Richter plays Chopin’s Études Op. 10, No. 4, and Op. 25, No. 11, not the “Revolutionary” Étude.
