In her review of Philip Roth’s The Humbling [NYR, December 3], Elaine Blair wrote that Seldon Wishnow is killed in anti-Semitic violence in Roth’s The Plot Against America. In fact it is Seldon Wishnow’s mother who is a victim of anti-Semitic vigilantes. Herman Roth, the father of the main character in that novel, is an insurance salesman.
