Diana R. Gordon is professor emerita of political science at the City University of New York, where she taught at City College and the Graduate Center. She is the author of five books, including Transformation and Trouble: Crime, Justice and Participation in Democratic South Africa (2006) and, most recently, Village of Immigrants: Latinos in an Emerging America (2015). She is also the founder of the Small-town Immigration Information Clearinghouse.
