Nan Goldin is an American photographer and activist. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Tate, London, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others. Among the many books of her work are The Ballad of Sexual Dependency (1986), Desire by Numbers (1994), Devils Playground (2003), and Eden and After (2014).
